The Mirror Image Of Myself

R.I.P Chris Benoit

Posted in Asides, Entertainment, News, Sports by zenmaster on June 26, 2007

Whilst searching for the latest news on Digg, I was shocked by the news of WWE professional wrestler (to a certain extend, actor) Chris Benoit found dead in his home together with his wife and children. The news isn’t fabricated like Mr. McMahon’s death. It’s real. R.I.P Chris. You’ll be missed. 😦

STAMFORD, Conn., June 25, 2007 – World Wrestling Entertainment was informed today by authorities in Fayette County, Ga., that WWE Superstar Chris Benoit, his wife, Nancy, and his son were found dead in their home. Authorities are investigating, but no other details are available at this time.

Instead of its announced programming for Monday on USA Network, WWE aired a three-hour tribute to Chris Benoit.

Chris was beloved among his fellow Superstars, and was a favorite among WWE fans for his unbelievable athleticism and wrestling ability. He always took great pride in his performance, and always showed respect for the business he loved, for his peers and towards his fans. This is a terrible tragedy and an unbearable loss.

WWE extends its sincere condolences and prayers to the Benoit family and loved ones in this time of tragedy.

Who’s Going To Shave His Hair? Donald Trump Or Vincent McMahon?

Posted in Entertainment, Interesting Stuff, Sports by zenmaster on March 21, 2007

It’s been a while since I’m keeping track on sports entertainment. While watching RAW at mamak stall, my jaw dropped because Donald Trump is involved in the feud (only on the ring, not in real life) with the owner of the WWE in the battle of the billionaire storyline (it’s scripted anyways). On Wrestlemania, they will be competing each other in the Hair vs Hair match represented by the wrestler of their choice. Donald Trump is represented by Bobby Lashley. Whereas, Vincent McMahon is represented by Umaga. Either of them will lose their hair whoever lose the match.

Due to his super size ego and extreme care of his combover, I doubt Mr. Trump is willing to shave his hair. In other words, Umaga is destined to lose the game. Well, it’s a professional wrestling afterall (Professional as in acting). Imagine if wrestling is just a regular sports like golf and cricket, I will die a horrible death due to extreme boredom.

Result: As expected, Mr McMahon lost the match and had his hair cut bald. Ahaks!

Game Over

Afterall, FIFA World Cup has ended after 1 month of football outbreak. It serves one of the most memorable events in the history of FIFA World Cup. One of them is Christiano Ronaldo. His true colors finally revealled. He deserves a FIFA’s Oscar Award for his trademark diving skill that’s not working and not impressive. He’s jeered for his lame chiches. I will write a journal about the lame Christiano Ronaldo. Secondly, Zizou’s retirement ended in shame after he headbutted Italiano. Consequently, he recieved a bloody red card, sent off from the field and worst of all, he’s not allowed to attend the ceremony. Maybe he has a reason to lose his temper, but he should control his cool.

My favourite teams are:

  1. Czech Republic – Because it’s the most underrated team in the world. Many people don’t realize that Czechis a good team. Sadly, they’re not qualified to 2nd round because they were too agitated in the game. First time methinks. (Czechoslovakia doesn’t count)
  2. Australia – Because it’s managed by one the best tactical manager in the world, Guus Hiddink. If Oz is not beaten by Italy, they will definitely reach to semi-finals.
  3. Germany – Because I fancy German language. 😛

After my favourite 3 lost the game. I couldn’t care less. I just go with the flow. And the result is Italy, the champion of FIFA world cup after decade. Well done, Azzuri.
